Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic (313A) to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and relevant trade experience, with the ability to interpret schematics and work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Conduct plumbing and welding tasks related to refrigeration system components
- Maintain HVAC systems and perform appliance repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance activities
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in accordance with company procedures
Qualifications and Skills
- Valid Ontario 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license.
- Valid TSSA Gas Fitter 1 (G1) or Gas Fitter 2 (G2) license.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
- Clean driving record and valid G-class driver’s license.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and mechanical controls.
- Working knowledge of smart controls and building automation systems.
- Current safety certifications (Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid) preferred.
