Role Overview
As the Crew Leader - Grass Cutting & Landscape Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing lawn maintenance and landscaping tasks, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality service. You will work hands-on with the team, leading by example, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring all work meets company standards. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with leadership abilities and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a crew in performing grass cutting, trimming, edging, and other landscape maintenance services.
- Organize daily schedules, assign tasks, and ensure timely project completion.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Perform hands-on landscaping duties, including planting, mulching, and general property maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and develop crew members to enhance efficiency and skill levels.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and employee timesheets.
- Communicate with management regarding job progress, challenges, and customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance or grass cutting services, with 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, landscaping equipment, and plant care.
- Experience operating and maintaining landscaping tools and light equipment.
- Physical capability to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and schedules.
- Valid G driver’s license with a clean record (AZ or A restricted license is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
