Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Part Time Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service, sales, and pets. As a Sales Associate you will use your knowledge and experience to help Pet Parents find the right nutrition and other solutions for their pets. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and eager to assist customers in a dynamic environment. Prior experience in retail sales or merchandising is a plus, but we welcome candidates with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. What you do:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their pet care needs
- Promote store promotions and special events to increase sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
- Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Assist in unloading delivery vehicles of cases and bags of pet food and supplies and putting these into stock (items up to 50 lbs.)
- Placing small items (under 10 lbs) including pet supplies, household items, etc. into stock in the sales area of the store
- Sweeping, dusting and other general store maintenance functions
- Other duties and tasks as required
What you bring:
- Knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and customer service best practices
- Strong sales skills with the ability to engage customers and promote products effectively
- Possess outgoing and friendly personality with strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively
- Ability to work as scheduled to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to have reliable means of transportation to and from the store
- A passion for pets
Pay: $18.25-$18.75 per hour
