Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen activities. The ideal candidate will have attention to food safety, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food industry environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Cook and assemble meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Serve food to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team in meal plating and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow proper food safety protocols at all times to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Experience working in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
