Martial Arts Instructor / After-School Program Coach – Royal Taekwondo

Royal Taekwondo is seeking a passionate, energetic, and motivated Martial Arts Instructor to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, values discipline and leadership, and wants to make a meaningful impact in students' lives both on and off the mat.
At Royal Taekwondo, we are more than a martial arts school—we are a community dedicated to building confidence, character, respect, and lifelong skills through Taekwondo. We take pride in creating a positive, supportive environment where students and instructors can grow together.
Position Schedule:
- Summer operating hours are between 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Regular operating hours during the school year are between 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Scheduling may vary within these operating hours based on programming needs
Responsibilities:
- Pick up students for our after-school program using company procedures and transportation guidelines
- Lead and assist with engaging Taekwondo classes for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach proper techniques, forms (poomsae), sparring fundamentals, and martial arts principles
- Provide individualized instruction and encouragement to students
- Assist with demonstrations, tournaments, camps, special events, and grading activities
- Foster a positive, safe, and motivating learning environment
- Maintain a clean and organized training space
Requirements:
- Minimum 2nd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo required
- Previous martial arts teaching or instructional experience preferred
- Knowledge of current Taekwondo rules, regulations, and poomsae.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, educate, and connect with students of all ages
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Kukkiwon certification preferred
- Experience working with children is considered an asset
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
