Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Front Desk Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries in person and over the phone
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS system operations accurately and efficiently
- Manage product demos and provide basic information about merchandise to encourage sales
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain organized checkout areas, ensuring proper cash handling and record-keeping
- Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and arranging displays
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
- Support team members with time management tasks to ensure smooth store operations during shifts
Skills
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse clientele effectively
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or POS systems is advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform product demos and upsell products confidently
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance store presentation
- Technical sales experience or experience in technology sales is a plus but not required
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting
