Qualifications:
- Level 1, 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification (Alberta)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in childcare or early learning
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that meets the developmental needs of children.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and support student development.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their child's growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive classroom that accommodates diverse learning needs, including those of children with disabilities.
- Maintain classroom organization and manage time effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and communication with families.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and teaching strategies for young learners.
