Job Summary
Daudet Creek Contracting is seeking full-time Class 1 and Class 3 Truck Drivers based in Kitimat, BC. The successful candidates will perform hauling of materials and equipment using a diverse range of trailer systems. The Driver will be responsible to ensure equipment is maintained and operated safely at all times and that paperwork is completed accurately and in timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Operates all functions of the haul truck, including staging, hauling and unloading procedures
- Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments, logs and reports any maintenance concerns with the equipment using provided software tools
- Operate haul truck safely and efficiently to meet production targets
- Coordinates truck activities with the excavator and other truck operators
- Accurately complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Ensures that work is completed during regular hours
- May perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Strong Safety First Attitude
- Valid Class 1 or Class Commercial Driver’s License
- Provide details of vehicle experience
- Provide Driver Abstract
- Experience in driving in challenging road conditions and willing to work overtime
- Must possess certified steel toe boots
Preference Given
- No previous driving record conviction involving consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances in the past 7 years.
- No operator’s license suspensions within the previous 3 years involving drug and/or alcohol, or a record that would indicate a disregard for public safety
- Not involved in a major preventable accident in the past 3 years
- No involvement in a preventable rollover or fatality crash within the previous seven 7 years
- No more than 2 moving convictions in the past 3 years.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.00-$42.00 per hour
