Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with hand tools and power tools. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while performing tire maintenance, repairs, and sales. The Heavy Duty Tire Technician will play a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace tires on a variety of vehicles with precision and efficiency
- Perform wheel alignments, balancing, and rotation services to optimize vehicle performance
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out maintenance tasks safely and accurately
- Conduct inspections to identify tire wear or damage and recommend necessary repairs or replacements
- Assist customers with selecting the right tires based on their vehicle needs and driving habits
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment used in tire services
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions or concerns
Requirements
- Prior dealership or automotive repair experience is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and tire technology
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of tires and related equipment safely
- Knowledge of sales techniques to promote tire products and services
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license preferred for moving vehicles as needed
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
