Job Description: Site Supervisor
This is a critical and pivotal role in our development as a company, one that requires operational knowledge, experience, commitment to our purpose, and loyalty, amongst other attributes.
Your primary responsibility, through the Regional Manager and District Manager, will be to fully support the smooth operations associated with the site(s) that you are assigned. In terms of operational accountability, this means the following:
Client Relations & Site Management
- Understanding each site assigned to you, including
- Key contacts
- Post orders
- Special rules and considerations.
- Participate in the new client onboarding and transition process for your site, including
- Creating and maintaining post orders,
- Providing any necessary training, and
- Attending client meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients through excellent customer service.
- Be the main point of contact for the client.
- If needed, meet regularly with clients or their designated representatives to address and rectify any actual or potential issues.
Scheduling
- Support your DM/RM when necessary, by filling open shifts and arranging coverage for last-minute shift cancellations (including covering shifts yourself).
- Ensure that all guards arrive on site by monitoring TrackTik notifications.
Staffing & Employee Management
- When appropriate and assigned to you by a Regional Manager, participate in hiring and recruiting employees in partnership with the recruiting team to ensure that your site is sufficiently staffed.
- Communicate job responsibilities to all supervisors and employees assigned to your district.
- Engage with and foster positive relationships with employees stationed at your site.
- Provide any necessary training (formal, onboarding, refresher) required to employees.
- Managing and scheduling your supervisors to maximize supervisory effectiveness and avoid missing billable hours.
- Ensure that no employee is scheduled at your site without the proper training or orientation.
- Communicate with your DM/RM regarding performance management and disciplinary steps.
Administration
- Manage and control company-owned equipment and uniforms, including recovering company property from former employees.
- Ensure all guards are wearing appropriate uniforms.
- When required, provide assistance for investigations, consulting, or executive protection work.
- Supporting the Operations team to manage spending and expenses associated with your site.
- Submitting regular reports to your Regional Manager to outline various KPIs, stats, and to identify staffing needs or other requirements, as requested by your Regional Manager.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Ensure that there is supervisory coverage for you at any time that you are not available.
- Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to you from time to time consistent with your abilities and qualifications.
Requirements
- You shall abide by all national, provincial and local laws governing the provision of their services as a security guard employee and maintain as current any and all licenses as required by said laws, including the Security Services Act and associated laws.
- You are required to hold a valid Security License.
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pembroke, ON K8A 8A3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Retail Security: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Security Licence (required)
