This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule, aligning manufacturing and material plans with customer demand, and ensuring delivery timelines are met. This role is critical in driving operational efficiency, supply chain alignment, and production optimization.
Work Environment
This is a full-time in office position, working 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday).
Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecast Management
- Develop, maintain, and manage the demand plan across short-, medium-, and long-term planning horizons, incorporating customer forecasts, backlog, market intelligence, and historical consumption trends.
- Analyze customer demand patterns, forecast changes, and booking trends to anticipate future requirements and identify risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with customers, Program Managers, Sales, and Operations teams to improve demand visibility and forecast accuracy.
- Monitor forecast-to-actual performance and provide trend analysis, recommendations, and risk assessments to support business planning.
Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
- Develop, load, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) within the ERP/MRP system to support SMT and downstream manufacturing operations.
- Balance customer demand, production capacity, material availability, labor, and equipment constraints to develop achievable production plans.
- Monitor schedule adherence and drive corrective actions to address production variances, capacity issues, and delivery risks.
- Ensure production schedules support customer commitments while optimizing throughput, efficiency, and resource utilization.
SIOP Leadership & Operational Planning
- Lead and facilitate the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring alignment between customer demand forecasts and operational capabilities.
- Coordinate monthly demand, supply, and executive review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop capacity plans and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making and customer growth initiatives.
- Provide visibility of demand and supply risks, recommending mitigation plans to maintain service levels and operational efficiency.
ERP/MRP Planning & Supply Chain Coordination
- Maintain planning data integrity within ERP/MRP systems to ensure accurate demand, supply, and scheduling outputs.
- Analyze MRP recommendations and collaborate with Supply Chain teams to mitigate material shortages, excess inventory, and long-lead component risks.
- Coordinate material requirements, production resources, tooling, equipment, and manpower to support production schedules.
- Provide management with timely updates regarding demand fluctuations, capacity constraints, material availability, and schedule risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Program Management, Sales, and Finance to align business objectives and execution plans.
- Lead planning, demand review, and shortage meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment and proactive issue resolution.
- Clearly communicate changes to customer demand, production schedules, material availability, and capacity constraints to key stakeholders.
- Support customer-facing planning discussions where forecast alignment and demand management are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Master Scheduling, Demand Planning, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Planning within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of demand forecasting, capacity planning, inventory management, and master production scheduling.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing planning processes.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including forecasting, trend analysis, and scenario planning.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or related certification are considered an asset.
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
