Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting functions and support the financial health of the organization. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting management with financial analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger and journal entries, including reconciliations
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Complete bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and tax requirements
- Prepare and submit GST/HST filings, payroll remittances, and other required filings
- Support external audits by providing requested information and documentation
- Keep financial records accurate, organized, and up to date
- Look for opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficient with QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of core accounting concepts, including debits and credits, journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger accounting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare clear, detailed reports

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
