Contract Support Specialist
Our client is seeking a Contract Support Specialist to join their team in a hybrid work environment based in Toronto. This role requires working onsite three days per week and participating in a 24/7 rotating shift schedule that includes day, afternoon, overnight, and weekend shifts. Weekend and overnight shifts may be completed remotely, while weekday shifts will require attendance in the office.
The successful candidate will provide infrastructure and security support, monitor critical systems, respond to incidents, and serve as a second-level support resource for IT teams.
Responsibilities include providing support for centralized infrastructure platforms and applications, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, and other enterprise technologies. The role will monitor infrastructure and security environments using tools such as SolarWinds, respond to alerts, and escalate issues according to established procedures.
The successful candidate will assist the Security Operations team in supporting anti-virus, anti-spam, web security, mail security, and network security solutions, while helping to manage and respond to security incidents. Additional responsibilities include supporting patch management activities, assisting senior specialists with monitoring and maintenance initiatives, providing second-level support to IT staff for infrastructure and security-related issues, and assisting with special projects including the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
Required qualifications include experience with Windows Active Directory, Exchange and Outlook administration, Microsoft Entra ID, Office 365, ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, basic TCP/IP networking, firewall and VPN technologies, and Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
Experience with OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, PowerShell, Cisco IronPort, Trend Micro, patch management processes, macOS, and Bomgar is considered an asset.
The ideal candidate will possess strong system administration knowledge across Active Directory, Exchange, Entra ID, Office 365, web filtering, reporting, and related technologies. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills are essential, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service. The ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, collaborate within a team environment, and comfortably work a 24/7 rotating schedule is required. Willingness to work outside of regular shifts when needed is also important.
