Our team is currently hiring for an existing vacancy, a temporary part-time Culinary Services Supervisor.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Plans, coordinates, directs and monitors all operational activities and quality improvement dietary activities.
-Supports human resource related functions for the dietary department.
-Direct management of all employees in the dietary department, in the absence of the Culinary Services Manager.
-Ensures quality risk management activities are implemented and maintained.
-Ensures compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives.
-Responds promptly to address dietary concerns of residents and family members, mediates appropriate responses to those concerns and implements action plans.
-Monitors daily food preparation to ensure the individual dietary needs of the residents are met.
-Participates in multi-disciplinary care conferences, the strategic planning process, committees and other meetings, maintains an organized system of records management.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Graduate of an accredited Food Service Supervision/Nutrition Management Program.
-Current membership and a member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management or a Registered Dietician.
-Two years working experience in a managerial or supervisor capacity in dietary services, preferably long-term care.
-Sound knowledge of therapeutic diets, current nutritional standards relating to the geriatric population and the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act 2021, Ontario Regulations 246/10.
-Excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills and strong relationship building abilities.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computerized documentation systems.
-All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector check.
