Manufacturing Team Member

Role:
The Pegasus Manufacturing Division is seeking a manufacturing technician to join our team. Their focus will be on the manufacturing of UAV platforms, including all applicable subassemblies. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembly and preliminary testing. The role will include partnership with engineering to facilitate design for manufacture, simplification, cost savings, reliability, and weight savings of the platform.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to assemble electro-mechanical assemblies
· Follow SOPs to perform testing sequences on assembled products
· Assist Manufacturing Team Lead in the development of SOPs and drive continuous process improvements
· Troubleshoot and repair production assemblies & service customer returns
· Maintain a clean and safe work area
· Organize and maintain production component inventory
· Manage bill of materials (BOMs) and submit purchase requests to satisfy build requirements
· Perform routine in-bound quality inspection procedures to ensure suppliers are meeting specifications
· Complete final validation of assembled products
Additional Tasks:
· Fabricating wiring harnesses including soldering, crimping, potting, etc.
Required Qualifications:
· Engineering Technician/Technologist college diploma from applicable mechanical related discipline or past equivalent work experience
· Mechanically inclined with knowledge/experience using hand/power tools (drill press, torque wrenches, Dremel, crimpers, hot air rework, soldering, etc.)
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Strong communication, written and oral skills
· Ability to work with a cross-discipline engineering team
