Join NEXT Compression as a Quality Coordinator! Play a key role in driving quality excellence across our operations and vendor network. In this hands-on position, you’ll help ensure compliance with industry standards while strengthening processes that support consistent, high-quality outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing – and Why It Matters:
As the Quality Coordinator, you will lead and execute quality-related activities across the organization, supporting both internal teams and external partners. Through your technical expertise and focus on continuous improvement, you’ll help maintain strong alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards while ensuring our quality systems deliver reliable, consistent results.
Your Impact Will Include:
- Ensure quality processes are followed in line with the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintain ASME, ABSA (Provincial Pressure Equipment Safety Authority), CWB, and National Board certifications
- Oversee completion, review, and timely submission of project quality turnover packages
- Develop and improve quality procedures and processes
- Lead preparation for and response to certification and client audits
- Provide technical support for client specification reviews
- Ensure non-conformance reports are issued and support cross-functional investigations
- Support Building Maintenance by reviewing requests, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating repairs
What Your First Year Looks Like:
First 90 Days: In the first 90 days, you will focus on ensuring the timely completion of quality inspections and documentation while maintaining ASME and ABSA certification requirements. During this time, you will also begin building strong relationships with inspectors and establishing responsive support for Building Maintenance requests.
First 6 Months: Within the first 6 months, you will work to reduce non-conformances and rework/warranty expenses while strengthening collaboration with the NEXT Pressure Welding team. You will also continue to enhance inspector relationships and drive greater consistency in quality performance.
First 12 Months: By the first 12 months, you will sustain measurable reductions in non-conformances and warranty costs while demonstrating strong, ongoing collaboration with the Pressure Welding team. You will also be recognized for reliable, responsive support to Building Maintenance and continued compliance with ASME and ABSA certifications.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Control experience in pressure equipment manufacturingCWB Level 2 certification with endorsements in ASME Section VIII Div.1, B31.3, and W59/47Strong knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, NACE, CSA codes, PESR, and provincial/National Board regulatory requirements
- Solid understanding of technical specifications, welding procedures, non-destructive testing (NDT), post-weld heat treatment, and coating/finishing processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams
- Effective problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
