Job Title: Billing Representative
Location: Waterloo, ON (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Contract Duration: 12 month
About the Role
Reporting to the Billing Operations Manager, the Billing Representative plays a key role in supporting Order‑to‑Cash operations, with a strong focus on billing portals and automated payment systems. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure accurate billing, process efficiency, and a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer billing portal activities including vendor onboarding, RFIs, and portal trading relationships
- Act as an SME for third‑party billing portals (Ariba, Coupa, Tungsten, Taulia, etc.)
- Resolve portal‑related escalations while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Partner with Sales and Collections to resolve billing discrepancies and support month‑end / quarter‑end close
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Deal Desk, GIS, Finance, IT) to maintain accurate billing records
- Support acquisition integrations and other billing initiatives as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a software or high‑tech billing environment
- Hands‑on experience with billing portals (Ariba, Coupa, Tungsten, Taulia, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of invoicing, collections, and Order‑to‑Cash processes
- Advanced reporting skills: Excel, Power BI, Macros, databases
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex billing scenarios independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Global billing experience
- Exposure to SaaS, Professional Services, Cloud, or Software Licensing
- Experience supporting process automation or system integrations
- Ability to mentor or guide junior billing team members
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
