What You’ll Do:
- To provide food and beverage service to all guests according to Marriott standards
- Greets and connects with customers providing excellent service to our guests in an efficient, friendly and professional manner
- Identifies customer needs and recommends appropriate products to enhance service quality, achieve sales objectives, and ensure every customer is acknowledged and appreciated
- Assists customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages, whole bean and merchandise sales
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby, patio, customer seating areas, dishes, and equipment to ensure a consistently clean and welcoming environment
- Prepares a variety of customer beverage orders per Cafe specifications and standards
- Processes payment from guests while complying with company policy and procedures – i.e., U.S Cash handling
- Adheres to local liquor, health, safety and fire laws
- Follows store policies and procedures for operational flow/ deployment at each station
- Executes daily tasks in accordance with duty rosters and established cleaning standards, while contributing effectively as a collaborative member of the cafe team
- Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products
- Perform equipment maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance checklist
- Follow CAD, USD cash policies, register functions and accounting policies
- Follow all Marriott policies and procedures as outlined in hotel associate handbook
- Successfully completes Initial Store Training for Baristas, achieving a passing score while demonstrating all required performance standards
- Handles guest concerns, compliments and suggestions in a professional manner, using LEARN processes and principles
- Follows all company and job-specific safety policies, and reports any accident and/or hazard immediately
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency
- Smart Serve Certification required
- Previous experience in a coffee or similar environment an asset
- Energetic, motivated, team player.
- Knowledge of Micros preferred.
- Must be available to work various shifts (morning, day, evening, weekends, holidays)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Available for morning, evening, weekend & holiday shifts (min 3 shifts/week)
