AFPS – Accurate Fire Protection & Security is a well-established, full-service fire protection company based in Vaughan, Ontario. As a registered CFAA member, we proudly provide inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and verification services to more than 200 high-rise residential properties throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities
As a member of our service team, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform annual and monthly inspections of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting and portable fire extinguishers.
- Identify deficiencies and complete repairs to ensure compliance with the Ontario Fire and Building Codes.
- Respond to service calls for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- Perform fire alarm system verification.
- Diagnose and trace system faults as required.
- Complete accurate inspection reports using our paperless digital inspection software (UPTICK).
- Lead larger inspection projects as experience permits.
- Participate in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.
Experience
We're looking for candidates who have:
- CFAA Certification (required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience inspecting and servicing fire alarm systems.
- Experience with sprinkler systems is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prepare accurate inspection reports.
- A professional, customer-focused attitude.
- A valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a satisfactory driving record.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience working with fire alarm systems and sprinkler systems at an intermediate or senior level
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Construction experience is highly desirable for understanding building layouts and installation requirements
- Familiarity with sensors, detectors, low voltage wiring, and power tools used in system installation and maintenance
- Electrical experience or background in mechanical systems is preferred to facilitate troubleshooting and repairs
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical documentation effectively
- Prior experience working with fire safety codes such as NFPA standards is advantageous
This position requires a CFAA certification and expertise in fire alarm systems. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A strong commitment to safety protocols is essential for success in this role.
Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
