Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help train new kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook or in food service is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
