Maintenance Worker / Building Support Staff (Part-Time/On Call) – Richmond

Compensation: Starting at $28 per hour
We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Worker / Building Support Staff to support daily operations at a multi-building residential complex in Richmond.
Schedule & Availability: Part-Time/On Call
Must be available evenings and weekends, with occasional availability weekdays-daytime and statutory holidays. Preference given to staff with flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Routine building repairs and maintenance (non-licensed plumbing/electrical)
Pool & hot tub maintenance
Janitorial duties (common areas, litter pickup, turnover cleaning)
Cleaning garbage rooms and garbage chutes
Snow removal, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing
Minor carpentry, painting, drywalling, tiling, and flooring
Moving and disposal of furniture and equipment
General handyman work
Respond professionally to resident maintenance requests
Liaise with maintenance team and onsite staff
Other ad hoc building support duties as required
Requirements:
Able to lift up to 25kg
Experience in building or facility maintenance
Building Systems knowledge (HVAC, boilers, mechanical rooms, etc.)
Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills (for simple admin/office tasks)
Access to and use of data capable wireless phone for clocking in/out and task tracking
Must provide a valid Criminal Record Check prior to start date
Assets (Not Required):
Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability
Pool Operator certification (e.g., Pool Operator Level 1 or equivalent)
WHMIS certification
Admin/office support experience
Customer service experience in residential/commercial settings
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) and access to personal vehicle

Pay: $31.00-$32.00 per hour
