Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to oversee daily operations within our warehouse and yard/cardlock facilities. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating logistics, coordinating safety initiatives and ensuring efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and proficiency in various computer systems and software along with experience in manufacturing, supply chain management, and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily yard/cardlock and warehouse activities, including inventory management, order picking, and shipping/receiving operations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and distribution of goods.
- Utilize systems such as SAP or warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, process orders, and manage supply chain workflows.
- Manage warehouse distribution processes including packaging, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics.
- Implement process improvements to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste or delays.
- Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software like Microsoft Outlook or Windows-based applications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by enforcing proper heavy lifting procedures and safety protocols in the yard/cardlock and warehouse areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, vendors, and customers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
- Lead efforts in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient outdoor workspace
- Collaborate with management to develop safety improvement plans and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies related to safety and environmental standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supply chain coordination within manufacturing or logistics environments.
- Proficiency in systems such as SAP; familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, Windows OS, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate forklifts (certification preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; effective time management is crucial for multitasking across various responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and external partners
This role is integral to maintaining efficient warehouse operations while fostering a safe working environment through effective leadership and process optimization.
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
