Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install various types of siding materials using hand tools and power tools with accuracy and care
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and installation instructions to ensure precise application
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, caulking, and making necessary repairs to ensure proper siding adhesion
- Lift heavy siding panels and materials safely while following proper ergonomic practices to prevent injury
- Use caulking tools to seal joints, seams, and edges for weatherproofing and enhanced insulation
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate installation schedules and complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience with construction or carpentry work, especially siding installation or related trades
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, levels, and measuring tapes
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings accurately
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions
- Skilled in caulking techniques for weatherproofing joints and seams
- Handyman experience or familiarity with general construction tasks is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
