Reporting to the Purchasing and Procurement Manager, the Procurement Planning Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining procurement plans and making sure that material availability aligns with project deliverables and project build plans. This includes coordination with Engineering, Program Management, QA and Planning to ensure that all project deliverables are met on time and aligned with company targets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning and Scheduling
- Develop and maintain procurement plans aligned to production builds, project schedules, and program milestones.
- Translate demand forecasts, BOMs, and project requirements into actionable purchasing plans
- Ensure procurement timelines are synchronized with internal build schedules and supplier lead times.
- Identify potential material shortages, long lead risks, and capacity constraints; proactively develop mitigation plans
Internal Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management to ensure alignment on material requirements and priorities.
- Participate in project and schedule review meetings to provide procurement status, risks, and recovery plans.
- Support smooth transition of materials from NPI/prototype phase into volume manufacturing.
Inventory Management
- Ensure materials and components are purchased according to project schedules.
- Create and maintain project based material requirements and procurement tracking tools.
- Support inventory planning decisions to balance availability, cost, and working capital.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Planning, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4-5 years of procurement or manufacturing planning experience preferably in a project-driven requirement.
- Experience in manufacturing, electronics, high tech, or engineering industries.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Salary Range: $63,000 - $75,000

The salary range posted above reflects the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries, taking into account factors such as job-related skills and expertise, relevant training and education, and business needs. It is common for ranges to span multiple levels in order to attract top talent across experience levels. It is uncommon to be hired at the top of the range; however, in exceptional cases where a candidate's skills and expertise significantly exceed the role's requirements, we may consider offering a higher salary.
