Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Helper, to work with our Overhead Door and Dock Technicians. This role involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead doors, dock equipment, and related systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in construction and mechanical work, with a focus on safety and quality. Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead doors, dock levelers, and related equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure proper assembly and installation.
- Perform caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing to ensure system integrity.
- Support carpentry tasks such as framing or framing adjustments as needed.
- Assist with construction painting, restoration projects, and flooring or tile installation when required.
- Follow safety protocols during all phases of work to maintain a safe job site environment.
- Maintain a clean work area and organize tools and materials for efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid drivers license and clean abstract.
- Prior experience or familiarity with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or related trades is preferred.
- Strong work ethic with the willingness to learn new skills on the job.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow detailed instructions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
