Here at West Carleton Kids Korner we are a community based childcare centre, offering high quality childcare to meet the needs of our families. We offer a fun loving, professional working environment that focuses on encouragement and best practice for both educators and children. WCKK is a well established childcare centre with 20+ years experience, with many of our edcuators being with us for 5+ years showing our commitment to providing a safe and secure working enviroment.
Responsibilities required for the position of RECE, include but are not limited to;
- Plan and implement care and education of children within in the centre.
- Provide a stimulating, affectionate and educational environment for the children in their care.
- Ensure effective communication with the parents and team members regarding the children’s health and development.
- Review, familiarize and comply with the policies and procedures of the centre.
- Follow the CCEYA guidelines at all times.
- Implement our curriculum, HDLH
- Disinfect the toys and equipment in their room on a weekly basis.
- Work collaboratively with team members
Qualifications / Experience
- Registered member and in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE
- Early Childhood Education Degree/Diploma from a recognized college or University
- Minimum of two years experience working in a Licensed Childcare program with a toddler group (preferred)
- Experience implementing the 4 foundations of learning in HDLH
- Valid Standard First Aid CPR - C
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check, within the last 6 months
- Food Handlers (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
