Northgate Industries Ltd. is looking for an EXPERIENCED FRAMER for a three month term.
Under the direction and leadership of the Supervisor/Lead hand, the Skilled Labourer assumes responsibility for framing modular units in our manufacturing plant. They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the construction & renovations of modular building components including exterior framing and/or flooring
Assist in the construction & renovations of modular building components including floors, walls, and roofs
Assist in the installation of sheeting materials including sub floors, wall sheeting and roofing sheeting using various materials
Gather material needed for construction & renovation of units Installation of small finishing items
Clean and detail units
Use hand and power tools
Follow all safety procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MUST HAVE 2+ YEARS OF SPECIFIC FRAMING EXPERIENCE
Valid Fall protection, CSTS-0.9/20, WHMIS 2015, and Standard First Aid an asset
Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
General construction safety knowledge
Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
Strong focus on customer satisfaction
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a demanding environment
A team player with strong people skills
Physical Requirements
Stand or walk for long periods of time
Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 25kg
Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
