Strategic Development & Partnerships
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain strategic relationships with sponsors, community partners, government representatives, and key stakeholders
- Develop and implement innovative growth strategies, sales initiatives, and commercial proposals to drive revenue generation and enhance participant engagement
- Maintain and manage donor and prospect databases, identifying and qualifying opportunities for financial support, sponsorship, and event participation
Event Planning & Logistics
- Lead the planning and execution of events, including the development of project timelines, budget management, venue selection, and coordination of equipment rentals
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality event delivery
- Oversee on-site event operations, proactively resolving issues and ensuring a safe, seamless, and positive experience for all attendees
Marketing & Promotion
- Design and execute integrated marketing and promotional campaigns across social media, print, and digital platforms to maximize event awareness and attendance.
- Develop compelling event materials, including promotional collateral, newsletters, media content, and post-event reports.
Post-Event Evaluation & Reporting
- Conduct post-event evaluations through data analysis to measure event performance, return on investment (ROI), and overall impact
- Prepare and distribute post-event communications, including evaluation summaries, stakeholder reports, and recommendations for future improvements
Professional Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge
- Knowledge of all aspects of special events
- Post-secondary education preferably in the hospitality industry
- Previous background in banquets/catering industry of two (2) years
- Good computer skills at intermediate level in word processing
- Knowledge of computer programs such as Maestro, Microsoft Word and Excel an asset
