About the role
Seeking energetic, respectful, and reliable canvassers to engage residents through door-to-door outreach. This role focuses on positive community conversations, sharing approved information, and recording feedback accurately while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Knock on assigned doors in designated neighborhoods during scheduled shifts.
- Introduce in a friendly, concise, and respectful way.
- Share approved messaging.
- Listen to residents, answer basic questions using provided talking points, and note key concerns.
- Record interaction outcomes accurately using a phone-based tool or paper sheets.
- Follow all instructions, local rules, and privacy expectations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and calm, courteous conduct at all times.
What success looks like
- Maintains a steady and professional outreach pace throughout each shift.
- Completes assigned route sections reliably and on schedule.
- Has respectful, quality conversations rather than rushed interactions.
- Captures accurate and complete notes after each voter contact.
- Uses approved messaging consistently and avoids discussing internal campaign strategy.
- Shows up on time, communicates clearly, and works well with the field team.
Requirements
- Comfortable speaking with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Able to walk for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather.
- Strong communication skills and good judgment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow direction.
- Access to a smartphone is helpful but not required for all shifts.
- Previous canvassing, customer service, sales, outreach, or campaign experience is an asset, but not required.
