Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to ensure a smooth, professional appearance in various commercial and residential projects. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a solid understanding of construction processes. The Drywall Finisher will collaborate with other trades to deliver high-quality results that meet project specifications and safety standards.
Duties
- Apply joint compound and tape to drywall seams, corners, and joints for a seamless finish
- Sand and smooth surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine finishing requirements
- Use hand tools such as trowels, knives, and sanding blocks, as well as power tools including drills and sanders
- Install drywall sheets accurately according to schematics and project plans
- Caulk gaps and joints to ensure airtight and water-resistant finishes
- Assist with related tasks such as insulation installation, framing adjustments, or minor carpentry as needed
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols on-site
Experience
- Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction trades
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, and surface preparation methods
- Experience with other trades such as carpentry, painting, masonry, or electrical work is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment or perform concrete finishing is advantageous but not required
- Prior work involving restoration, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, welding, or electrical experience is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: $20.73-$27.96 per hour
