Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as welders, schematics, and diagnostic scanners
- Conduct maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, and electrical system troubleshooting
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify issues
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labour safely during repair procedures
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a service technician in the industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring heavy lifting and prolonged standing
