This role drives supply planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization activities, playing a key part in the growth of Walmart Fulfillment Services. It involves working closely with sellers and cross functional teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory placement, and ensure products are available to meet customer needs while supporting a seamless fulfillment experience.
This role is responsible for forecasting customer demand and inventory requirements across a broad portfolio of third-party sellers. Developing replenishment recommendations and ensuring the right amount of inventory is available at the right time are key responsibilities, helping minimize excess inventory while reducing stockouts and improving seller performance.
Collaborating with supply chain, fulfillment center, transportation, and operations teams is essential to ensure inventory is replenished to the appropriate fulfillment centers and that sufficient space and labor capacity are available to meet service level expectations. Monitoring and reporting on inventory and operational KPIs, identifying risks, and driving improvements through data driven insights are also critical aspects of the role.
This role is responsible for developing and enhancing the inventory allocation engine to improve inventory placement across the fulfillment network. Making data driven decisions to balance inventory between fulfillment centers, improve network efficiency, and optimize customer delivery speed is a key focus. Being adaptable and collaborative, this role requires a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement while supporting the growth of Walmart Fulfillment Services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in planning, forecasting, or inventory planning within CPG, retail, logistics, 3PL, or third party marketplace environments.
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, and experience using Python or R for data analysis and forecasting.
Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve decision making, automate workflows, and enhance planning processes.
Comfortable working in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with the ability to prioritize competing initiatives and adapt to changing business needs.
Experience in a start-up or high growth environment is an asset, but not required.
Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills.
The pay range for this position is $64,700.00 - $88,990.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
