We’re Hiring!
We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Gatekeeper in our Inventory department at our Leamington, Ontario facility.
What You'll Do:
-
Making all box labels, stickers, and pallet labels for finished products
-
Ensuring that the correct commodity and weights are being captured
-
Ensure the right number of labels containing correct data are printed for packed product ahead of time
-
Inventory control of purchased product and finished products
-
Allocation of product to correct production lines according to shipping times
-
Collaborate with Line Lead and Production Supervisor to monitor quality of product and update Commodity Coordinators

Monitoring #2 products and dumped products on each line to ensure that they are properly isolated, counted, weighed and reported for each supplier and providing details to the Commodity Coordinator and Production Supervisor

Continuously verifying updates and changes to communicate to Supervisors and Line Leads

Walkthrough cooler regularly and identify product that needs to be labelled

Accurately completing all related documentation and paperwork as required
-
Reporting operational issues or delays to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner

Monitor labour hours and address concerns with the Gatekeeping Supervisor

Assist inventory with all reconciliation as needed

Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures

Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

What You Bring:
-
Experience with computers, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
-
Reading, writing, oral communication and effective listening skills are essential job tools
-
Basic, efficient math skills required

Organization and attention to detail is essential

Previous experience with produce is an asset
-
Able to work well with minimal supervision for most of the day
-
Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential
-
Must display a respectful, and positive attitude
-
Committed to continuous learning as every day presents new information and exciting challenges
-
Spanish is an asset
-
Must be available to work Monday-Sunday afternoons – hours will fluctuate according to the needs of the business
What To Expect:
-
Fast paced warehouse environment where temperatures vary from cooler to temperature-controlled areas
-
Working with a wide array of people/culture in a team setting
-
There may be an occasional need for some heavy lifting and bending, twisting, and reaching as needed
-
Balance between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the warehouse and coolers – some desk work
-
This is an active role; time will be spent in the office and walking within the Warehouse as required
