Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with menu selections, providing detailed descriptions of food and beverage options.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring accurate order entry and cash handling.
- Serve food promptly, ensuring proper food safety and handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer service and attention to detail.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments via cashiering systems, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, bar counters, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours and assist in training new staff when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for order processing and cashiering.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately.
- Experience with food industry standards including serving etiquette, hospitality practices, and cash handling procedures.
