Looking for a steady part-time driving position with a predictable schedule?
Colonial Countertops is looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time Driver to transport natural stone and engineered surfaces between our Kelowna and Calgary locations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys highway driving, takes pride in transporting valuable products safely, and is looking for consistent work three days per week.
Schedule
Sunday
- Load truck in Kelowna
- Drive to Calgary
- Overnight stay in Calgary (hotel provided)
Monday
- Unload and reload truck in Calgary (starting at 7:00 a.m.)
- Return drive to Kelowna
Tuesday
- Unload truck in Kelowna
- End of work week
Approximately 1,300 km round trip each week.
What You'll Be Driving
- 26' HINO Curtain Side Truck
- No Air Brake (Class 3) endorsement required
Responsibilities
- Safely transport countertop materials between Kelowna and Calgary
- Load, secure, and unload stone materials using proper strapping techniques
- Ensure loads are secured to prevent movement while protecting fragile materials from damage
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Keep the truck clean and report any maintenance concerns
- Represent Colonial Countertops professionally when interacting with employees and customers
Qualifications
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Previous commercial driving experience required
- Experience transporting stone, glass, cabinetry, or other fragile building materials is a strong asset
- Knowledge of proper cargo securement techniques
- Physically capable of assisting with loading and unloading when required
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills and professional attitude
