Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator with Basement Excavation Experience to join our team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to perform various excavation tasks on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operation and safety protocols, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure project completion.
Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery, including backhoes, bulldozers, graders, and loaders, to dig, pave, and move materials as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow safety regulations and protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in site preparation by clearing debris and leveling surfaces as required.
Experience
- Basement excavation experience is a must.
- Demolition Experience is a benifit.
- Proven experience in operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge is highly desirable for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations may be beneficial.
- Experience with Caterpillar machinery or other industry-standard brands is a plus.
- Previous work involving backhoe operation, grader operation, or loader operation will be advantageous.
