Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient communications promptly.
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing using electronic medical records systems while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist dental providers during procedures by handing instruments and ensuring patient comfort.
- Handle appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up reminders to optimize practice workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk area while ensuring all office equipment is functioning properly.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a dental receptionist or in a medical office environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for managing front desk operations and patient interactions.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems and multi-line phone systems.
- Knowledge of office procedures, insurance processing, and appointment scheduling best practices.
