Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of construction, including blueprint reading, carpentry, masonry, and the operation of heavy equipment. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute assigned tasks accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Assist in concrete forming, finishing, and tile laying to ensure durable and precise results
- Perform masonry work including bricklaying and concrete work
- Estimate construction needs and assist with project planning when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- 3 years min construction experience
- Civil construction experience is not required but is a asset
- Valid drivers license and transportation is a asset
- Able to multi task
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction estimates
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces
