Position Overview
As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy equipment at customer job sites. The ideal candidate is experienced, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Perform on-site repairs and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot diesel engines and heavy equipment systems
- Complete service documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized service truck
- Communicate repair findings clearly with customers
- Represent the company in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience working on heavy equipment
- Strong diagnostic skills (ability to troubleshoot, not just replace parts)
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Valid G driver’s license (clean abstract preferred) DZ license would be an asset
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong work ethic and reliability
421A, Red Seal, or 310T certification is considered an asset but not mandatory for the right candidate.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $40 – $55 per hour (based on experience)
- Company service truck (work use)
- Signing bonus after 6 months
