We are looking to expand our presence and are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Wine Sales Representative to help us grow our brand in Lower mainland area.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Wine Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with retail and on-premise accounts, promoting and selling Kalala & Little Straw’s exceptional range of wines, and ensuring our brand is well-represented in Lower-mainland area.
The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and a love for fine wine. Knowledge of the local market and a natural ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships are key for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth: Drive sales of Kalala & Little Straw wines through retail and on-premise accounts (restaurants, bars, liquor stores, etc.).
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new customers.
- Product Knowledge: Effectively communicate our winery’s story, product offerings, and the unique qualities of our wines to customers and prospects.
- Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities and lead efforts to expand our presence in Saskatchewan.
- Brand Representation: Represent Kalala & Little Straw Winery at tastings, events, and trade shows, helping to elevate the brand’s visibility in the region.
- Reporting & Administration: Track sales activity, manage customer orders, and provide feedback on market trends.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the wine, spirits, or hospitality industry.
- A genuine passion for wine and a deep understanding of wine culture, production, and tasting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to connect with people at all levels.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Must be highly organized, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, as regular travel within Saskatchewan will be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan’s liquor market and key industry contacts.
- Previous experience with wine distribution or wholesale sales.
- WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certification or similar wine education is a plus.
