The Sales and Event Specialist must be a highly motivated individual who is eager and ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed. This is a dual role which provides both sales administrative support to the sales team and coordinates events.
The primary focus is planning and executing all aspects of events. This position acts as the liaison between Event Planners and the hotel staff. Responsibilities include administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick-up, billing instructions and final review. Sales and Event Specialists also are the on-site contacts and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events.

Your main duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, implement and oversee assigned conferences, events, and hotel room blocks
- Promptly follows-up on all customers’ needs and inquires in an efficient and expedient manner
- Host hotel site tours if needed
- Produces group resumes, banquet event orders and floor plans
- Leads weekly banquet event order meetings with appropriate departments to ensure group requirements are met
- Assists in the preparation and customization of sales presentations and proposals to meet client needs as needed by sales managers
- Develops and maintains relationships with clients, partners, and new business in the absence of a sales manager
- Responding to sales leads and clients' requests within 4 hours
- Participates in daily business review meetings, training, and other sales / catering related meetings
- Maintains accounts with up to date and accurate information
- Answers inquiries and qualifies leads and directs lead to appropriate assigned sales manager
- Assist with creating reservations, input rooming list, create and modify the master accounts.
- Any other task/s that will be assigned by Director of Sales

Pay: $58,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
