Position Overview
Diamond Drill Helpers work alongside experienced drillers to set up, operate, and maintain diamond drill rigs in surface or heliportable environments. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role that requires a strong work ethic, teamwork, and attention to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the driller with rig setup, rod handling, core retrieval, and sample processing.
- Operate and maintain pumps, hoses, and related support equipment.
- Keep drill site clean, organized, and compliant with Rally’s safety standards.
- Perform daily maintenance checks and help identify mechanical issues.
- Follow instructions and safety procedures under varying weather and terrain conditions.
- Support site mobilization and demobilization, including loading and transporting supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous field, construction, or mining experience is an asset, but not required—training is provided.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts in remote locations.
- Valid driver’s licence (Class 5 or equivalent).
- Safety certifications (First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Arrest, etc.) are considered an advantage.
- Strong attitude toward teamwork, safety, and reliability.
