Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender/Server to join our Tanglefoot Bar & Grill in Hudson's Hope, BC ! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable experiences for guests through exceptional service and expertly crafted beverages. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with menu selections, including food and drink options
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately, following recipes and safety standards
- Take customer orders efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring accuracy in order entry and billing
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining a clean and organized service station
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, address inquiries, and resolve any issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant serving or bartending
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, billing, and change calculation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with cashiering, serving, and managing food industry standards
- Effective communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Demonstrated hospitality mindset with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
