Positions Available:
AZ Driver - US Full Time (Starting From GTA)
Job Responsibilities:
- Visually inspects loaded truck to insure proper packaging and secures all merchandise, so as not to incur damage during transportation, closes and locks the door.
- Performs appropriate pre-trip inspection checks and proper log book record keeping. Reports all defects or equipment problems with supervisor.
- Delivers stock to customers by a predetermined route to insure customer received their order in a timely manner.
- The driver maintains safe driving habits and observes all traffic laws at all times.
- Completes any of the assigned pickups in a timely and safe manner.
- Responds to customers’ needs in a polite and understanding manner and reports any problems or inconsistencies related to delivery to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Must insure all proper paperwork and records are tuned in to supervisor, correct and on time. Returns signed delivery receipts to warehouse manager and gives non-delivered paperwork to supervisor.
- Promotes and maintains a safe work environment. This includes immediately reporting all incidents or near misses to the supervisor.
- Responsible for housekeeping inside truck to keep it free from debris and items that could be a safety hazard when suddenly stopping.
- Promotes and maintains a positive teamwork environment.
Job Requirements:
- Valid AZ license with minimum 2 years+ experience
- Able to speak, read, and understand English to comply with U.S. DOT/FMCSA requirements (for safety, documentation, and enforcement interactions).
- Ability to legally work in Canada and enter the United States (must be admissible under U.S. immigration laws).
Language Requirement
Due to the need to comply with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, all drivers must have a level of English proficiency sufficient to:
- Read road signs and shipping documents.
- Communicate with law enforcement and border officers.
- Understand and respond to safety instructions.
- This is a safety-critical requirement, not a general employment restriction.
Cross-Border & Compliance:
- Must carry a valid passport, FAST card, or equivalent documentation.
- Must comply with DOT, FMCSA, and CBSA regulations.
- Random drug/alcohol testing required.
- Drivers must use ELD systems and maintain logs accurately.
Must provide the following:
- Copy of drivers licence
- Criminal background check
- Driver’s Abstract
- CVOR driver’s abstract
- Must provide 3 references from previous jobs with name, title and contact information
