Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Masonry Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with various masonry and construction tasks, supporting skilled tradespeople in completing renovation, restoration, and new building projects. This role offers an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in masonry and construction while contributing to high-quality craftsmanship on diverse projects.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and mixing of mortar, concrete, and other materials required for masonry work
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install bricks, stones, blocks, and other materials
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution
- Support the installation of caulking and sealing materials during renovation and restoration projects
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for material handling and site preparation
- Assist with demolition, site cleanup, and preparation for new construction or restoration work
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment on-site
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Qualifications
- Prior experience with construction or masonry work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic schematics is advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics to interpret project requirements
- Knowledge of renovation, restoration, and caulking techniques is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively is desirable
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for site access and material transportation
