P&H Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking an experienced Plumbing/Gas Technician with hands-on experience in residential and/or commercial service work. The ideal candidate is skilled in diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems while delivering high-quality workmanship and professional customer service. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and compliance with all applicable safety codes and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, and drainage systems
- Install, service, and troubleshoot gas lines, gas appliances, boilers, furnaces, water heaters, and related equipment
- Diagnose plumbing and gas system issues efficiently and provide effective solutions
- Perform inspections, pressure testing, leak detection, and preventative maintenance
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing, gas, and safety codes
- Respond to emergency service calls and urgent repairs when required
- Prepare accurate service reports, job notes, and material lists
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and teammembers
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in safe working condition
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workenvironment
Preferred Skills, Qualifications & Requirements
- Preferred 5–10 years of plumbing and gas fitting experience
- Valid plumbing and gas fitting certification/license
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physically capable of lifting equipment and working in confined spaces orvarying weather conditions
- Experience with boilers, hydronic heating, or HVAC systems is considered an asset
- Red Seal Certification
- Class A or B Gas Ticket
- Backflow certification
- Experience with renovation and new construction projects
- Ability to estimate jobs and identify up-selling opportunities
