Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization and infection control protocols are followed
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology to assist in accurate diagnosis
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental practice management software such as Epic or Dentrix
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient check-in/check-out processes
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to all safety standards and regulations
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current certification
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Dentrix and Epic for record management
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and materials is highly preferred
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, demonstrating patience and excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and patient documentation
- Ability to operate dental equipment including CAD systems for digital impressions or restorations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
