Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our store operations and drive sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and comprehensive knowledge of retail management. The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, implementing merchandising strategies, and fostering a motivated team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to build a high-performing team
- Oversee sales management, including setting sales targets and developing strategies to achieve them
- Handle merchandising activities such as product placement, pricing, and inventory control to maximize sales potential
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, cash handling, and reporting purposes with accuracy and integrity
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching, and feedback sessions with team members
- Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and administrative tasks related to store operations
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clients
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and maintaining high standards of communication skills
- Monitor budget adherence, purchasing decisions, and cost control measures to optimize profitability
- Maintain organized records of sales, inventory, bookkeeping activities, and other administrative documentation
- Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
Experience
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail sales or store management
- Strong background in merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic bookkeeping software
- Excellent communication skills in both English and multilingual capabilities are preferred
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development programs is advantageous
- Knowledge of marketing techniques relevant to retail environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Background in budgeting, purchasing decisions, and administrative tasks such as payroll processing is desirable
