Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and vendor relationships. Duties
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Procure materials and supplies necessary for production while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Utilize SAP and other MRP systems to track orders, manage inventory, and analyze purchasing data.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast demand and streamline operations.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Monitor industry trends to stay informed about new products and technologies that could benefit the organization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in vendor management, sourcing, and procurement within a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Familiarity with SAP or other procurement systems is essential.
- Experience with supply chain management principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to fabricate solutions that meet operational needs while optimizing costs.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess supplier performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments.
