Role Overview
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing advanced clinical oversight and ensuring the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of nursing and medical services at Max Immunity Clinic. This role includes the development, authorization, and ongoing review of Medical Directives, as well as oversight of daily nursing activities, in accordance with applicable legislation, professional standards, and clinic policies.
The NP acts as a clinical resource for the nursing team and collaborates with physicians and clinic leadership to support quality of care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance within a wellness clinic environment. This role may be performed in both remote and in-person clinical settings and includes patient consultations, prescribing responsibilities, laboratory requisitions, and direct clinical support to nursing staff.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Clinical Governance & Medical Directives
- Develop, review, authorize, and update Medical Directives aligned with the clinic’s services and scope of practice
- Ensure Medical Directives comply with applicable provincial regulations and professional standards
- Monitor the appropriate implementation and use of Medical Directives by nursing staff
- Provide clinical directives and guidance within the clinic environment as needed
Clinical Oversight & Supervision
- Provide clinical oversight of the daily activities of nurse practitioners and nursing staff
- Ensure nursing care is delivered within approved protocols and scopes of practice
- Oversee and support nursing staff in both remote and in-person clinical settings
- Serve as a clinical escalation point for nursing-related issues or concerns
Patient Care & Clinical Services
- Conduct patient consultations in both virtual and in-person settings
- Review and issue blood requisitions, laboratory requests, and prescriptions in accordance with applicable regulations and scope of practice
- Support patient assessments, follow-up care, and treatment planning as appropriate
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Promote patient safety and quality assurance across all nursing services
- Support adherence to documentation, privacy, and professional standards
- Participate in internal reviews, audits, and quality improvement initiatives as required
Collaboration & Support
- Collaborate with physicians, clinic management, and administrative staff
- Provide clinical input on new services, workflows, or protocol updates
- Support a professional, ethical, and patient-centered care environment
Pay: From $65.00 per hour
